KIRKLAND – After getting abused for most of the afternoon the last time he took the field, Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Matt Hill should get a chance to atone for his performance this Sunday.
Right tackle Floyd Womack was downgraded from questionable to doubtful on the team’s injury report Thursday, meaning there is a 75 percent chance Hill will make his second NFL start in Sunday’s game at Green Bay.
Hill started in the Seahawks’ 24-23 win over St. Louis 12 days ago, when the Rams’ Leonard Little had two first-half sacks before Hill settled down.
”He’ll be fine,” offensive line coach Tom Lovat said of what he expects from Hill this week. ”He’ll be all right. That was a great experience for him last week. That guy he played against might be one of the better (pass rushers) in the whole league.”
Hill evaluated film and concluded that he was playing too high against Little in his first start. That will be among the things he’ll try to correct on Sunday.
”I looked at it real hard and believe I can do better this week,” he said.
