Seahawks coach Pete Carroll acknowledged during last week’s minicamp that his team is thin on the offensive line, and on Tuesday the team added some veteran depth to the interior line, signing guard Ben Hamilton, formerly of Denver.
Hamilton, 32, was a fourth-round draft pick in 2001, and has spent his entire career in Denver. He spent the early part of his career playing for current Seahawks line coach Alex Gibbs, so he comes to Seattle experienced in the zone-blocking scheme the Seahawks will employ. He has started 100 games in his career, including 84 straight from 2002 to 2006.
