Here’s the inactives report for Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs at CenturyLink Field:
SEATTLE (8-6)
Inactive: RB Rashaad Penny, FS Tedric Thompson, CB Kalan Reed, RB Bo Scarbrough, T Germain Ifedi, DT Nazair Jones, DE Branden Jackson.
Notes: While the Seahawks came into the game with a lot of injury question marks, the biggest news is that Pro Bowl LB K.J. Wright is back. Wright has missed 11 games this season, including the previous five, because of a knee injury. On the offensive line, starting RG D.J. Fluker (hamstring) is active again after sitting out the past two games. That is all the more important as G Jordan Simmons (knee), who had been filling in for Fluker, was placed on injured reserve this week. However, starting RT Ifedi (groin) is out after being listed as questionable, meaning George Fant likely gets a start and we hear “No. 74 is eligible” announced far less frequently. In the secondary, Seattle will be without starting FS Thompson (chest/ankle), but two other starters who were listed as questionable — SS Bradley McDougald (knee) and CB Shaquill Griffin (hip) — will both play, as will DT Jarran Reed (oblique/groin), also listed as questionable. RB Rashaad Penny (knee) remains out.
KANSAS CITY (11-3)
Inactive: WR Sammy Watkins, CB Kendall Fuller, RB Spencer Ware, S Ron Parker, G Kahlil McKenzie, C Jimmy Murray, TE Deon Tedler.
Notes: The Chiefs, who had an extra three days of recovery after playing on Thursday night last week, have a short injury list, but a significant one. Watkins (foot) being out means Kansas City is without its No. 2 WR, while Ware (hamstring) has been the Chiefs’ No. 1 running back since Kareem Hunt was released in the wake of video being released of him kicking and shoving a woman. Fuller (thumb), one of Kansas City’s starting CBs, is also out, while starting S Parker is a surprise scratch as he wasn’t listed on the injury report.
—- UPDATE, 5:10 p.m.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on his pregame radio appearance that Fluker, while active, won’t start tonight. So Ethan Pocic will start at RG.
