Seahawks vs. Raiders inactives: Vannett out for Seattle

Seattle’s tight end depth is being tested; Oakland is on its third kicker.

Here’s the inactives for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders at London’s Wembley Stadium:

SEATTLE (2-3)

Inactive: RB C.J. Prosise, S D.J. Green, TE Nick Vannett, LB K.J. Wright, DE Rasheem Green, G Jordan Simmons, DE Dion Jordan.

Notes: Seattle is once again without Wright (knee) and Green (ankle), who had already been ruled out. Meanwhile, both players who had been listed as questionable, Vannett (back) and Jordan (knee), sit this one out. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said during the week that Vannett, elevated to the No. 1 TE spot because Ed Dickson remains on injured reserve and Will Dissly suffered a season-ending knee injury, was fine and would play. However, the signing of TE Tyrone Swoops and waiving of WR Keenan Reynolds on Saturday pointed to the possibility of Vannett missing out. Ethan Pocic, who began the season as the starting LG, is active again after recovering from his ankle injury, but the Seahawks have elected to stick with J.R. Sweezy as the starter.

OAKLAND (1-4)

Inactive: S Karl Joseph, WR Brandon LaFell, CB Nick Nelson, G Kelechi Osemele, DT Frosty Rucker, OL Ian Silberman, RB DeAndre Washington.

Notes: The Raiders play without two starters, Osemele (knee) and Rucker (neck), because of injury. Both were listed as doubtful on the injury report. Joseph (hamstring), a back-up, is also out after being listed as questionable. Oakland’s three-time Pro Bowl starting RT Donald Penn was placed on injured reserve after suffering a hip injury during Week 4’s 45-42 victory over Cleveland. The Raiders are also on the their third kicker, Matt McCrane, after injuries put both Eddy Pineiro (groin) and Mike Nugent (hip) on IR.
