Everett’s preseason record dropped to .500 tonight as the Tips fell 3-0 to the Seattle Thunderbirds.
This game was decided in the first period. The T-birds whupped the Tips in the first, outshooting Everett 12-4 and scoring all three of their goals. Everett never recovered as Brandon Glover turned aside all 27 shots he faced in goal for Seattle.
Offense is starting to be a bit of a concern for the Tips here in the preseason. Everett scored just 11 goals in its first six preseason games. Five of those came in one game against a very young opponent, and the Tips have been shut out twice.
Everett concludes its preseason tonight when the Tips host the T-birds in a rematch.
