Silvertips beat Americans for 10th straight win

Everett outshoots Tri-City 56-20 on a 6-2 win at Angel of the Winds Arena.

EVERETT — Hunter Campbell scored twice and the Everett Silvertips peppered the goal with 56 shots in a 6-2 win over the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday evening at Angel of the Winds Arena.

The win was Everett’s 10th in a row and 16th in 17 games to start the WHL season.

Michal Gut, Ronan Seeley, Matthew Ng and Niko Huuhtanen also scored for the Silvertips, who outshout the Americans 56-20.

Braden Holt stopped 18 shots for Everett (16-0-0-1) to improve to 8-0-0-1 on the season.

Tomas Suchanek stopped 44 of 48 shots, and Nick Avakyan stopped 6 of 8 shots for Tri-City (4-9-2-0).
