Silvertips fall on road to Americans

Tyler Palmer makes 37 saves, but Everett loses 2-1 to Tri-City.

KENNEWICK — Lukas Dragicevic and Jalen Luypen scored and the Tri-City Americans beat the Everett Silvertips 2-1 on Friday night at the Toyota Center.

Dragicevic scored in the second and Luypen scored early in the third as the Americans took a 2-0 lead.

Caden Zaplinty scored in the third to pull the Silvertips to within one, but they couldn’t complete the comeback.

Tyler Palmer made 37 saves for Everett (22-20-1-0).

Tomas Suchanek made 25 saves for Tri-City (20-16-4-1).
