Silvertips fall to Rockets

Everett allows three goals in the second period and suffers a 4-2 defeat.

EVERETT — Colton Dach capped a three-goal second period with the go-ahead score at the 17:24 mark and the Kelowna Rockets handed the Everett Silvertips a 4-2 loss Friday at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Dylan Wightman and Nolan Flamand each scored goals in the second and Max Graham added an empty-netter in the final seconds for Kelowna (9-9-1-0, 19 points). Jackson DeSouza and Andrew Cristall chipped in two assists apiece.

Ben Hemmerling opened the scoring for the Silvertips (12-9-1-0, 24 points) with a power-play goal late in the first period. Jackson Berezowski tied the game at 2 with his 13th goal of the season at the 8:16 mark of the second.

Talyn Boyko stopped 29 of 31 shots for Kelowna.

Braden Holt halted 34 of 37 shots for Everett.
