Silvertips hire new equipment manager

Ryan Sherwood takes over for James Stucky, who spent 18 years in Everett.

EVERETT — The Everett Silvertips have hired Ryan Sherwood as their new equipment manager. Sherwood succeeds James Stucky, who served in the position for the franchise’s first 18 seasons before taking an assistant equipment manager job with the NHL expansion Seattle Kraken this offseason.

Sherwood has ample experience with the Tips, having served as Stucky’s game day equipment assistant the previous five seasons. Sherwood was honored by the Tips following the completion of the 2020-21 season, receiving the Jim Leo Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the organization.
