The Everett Silvertips added to their forward depth via trade on Tuesday, acquiring 2001-born Jalen Price from Medicine Hat in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2021 bantam draft.
Price, 17, scored 18 goals and compiled 41 points for the Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) last season and accrued 16 points in 16 playoff games for the Storm, which captured the league championship.
The Delta, British Columbia native was taken by the Tigers in the third round of the 2016 draft. Price has yet to appear in a Western Hockey League regular-season game, but was credited with three assists in four preseason games with Medicine Hat.
