RED DEER, Alberta — The Everett Silvertips squandered a two-goal lead and fell to the Red Deer Rebels, 6-2, on Monday night at the Westerner Park Centrium.
After goals from Wyatte Wylie and Aidan Sutter spotted the Silvertips a 2-0 lead in the second period, the Rebels erupted for four consecutive goals to capture the victory on home ice. Two empty-net goals with the goalie pulled iced the game for Red Deer.
The Silvertips play Edmonton on Thursday, the top team in the Eastern Conference, before two consecutive games at Prince George on Friday and Saturday to finish a five-game road trip.

Well, how about that?
Aidan Sutter pokes in the rebound for his 1st WHL goal, just a game after recording 1st career WHL point against Kamloops. Not bad for a d-man playing forward.
Christiansen with some nice work on the blueline to snap a shot through traffic #WHL pic.twitter.com/3qKNkgZFTX

What an absolutely awful bounce behind Everett's net that leads to a tap-in goal for Red Deer.
Nothing Karki could have done here. Hockey gods shining on the Rebels tonight. #WHL pic.twitter.com/dFC3IJE5Qz
