Silvertips top Chiefs in shootout for 4th straight win

Tim Metzger stops every shot he faces in the shootout to lift Everett to a 2-1 win.

EVERETT — Tim Metzger made 32 saves and stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout to lift the Everett Silvertips to a 2-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Jackson Berezowski scored at 7:08 in the third period to even the game for the Silvertips at 1-1 and force overtime.

Austin Roest scored in the shooutout and Aidan Sutter and Ty Gibson added assists for Everett (27-22-2-0), which won its fourth straight game.

Brayden Crampton scored and Cooper Michaluk made 36 saves for Spokane (9-35-2-4).
