SPOKANE — The Everett AquaSox exploded for six runs in the top of the ninth inning to break open a tied game and earned an 8-2 win over the Spokane Indians on Friday night.
With the game knotted at 2-2 after eight, Ben Ramirez drew a bases-loaded walk to give the AquaSox the lead. Randy Bednar followed with a two-run double and James Parker capped the outburst with a three-run blast as Everett pulled in front 8-2.
Windish, Victor Labrada and Mike Salvatore all finished with two hits in the game for the AquaSox.
Jimmy Joyce started on the mound for Everett (42-37, 8-5 second half) and allowed just two runs, one earned, on five hits in five innings. Joyce struck out six and walked two.
Jordan Beck hit his Northwest League-leading 20th home run of the season for Spokane (39-39, 6-7).
