Wesco 3A South Tournament

Top 5 singles and doubles to district

EDMONDS — On his home court, Edmonds-Woodway senior Steven Anderson won the Wesco 3A South division singles title over Shorewood’s JD Drake. Both qualified for next week’s 3A District 1 tournament, along with Nalu Akiona (E-W), Sebastian Sanchez (Shorewood) and Stephen Valmayor (Mountlake Terrace).

In doubles, Shorewood duo Peter Kosten and Alexander Gordon defeated their Stormays teammates Riley Boyd and Elie Sheffield for the title. Arman Mkrtychev and Liam Milstead (Edmonds-Woodway), Zane Weber and Ashton Johnson (Shorecrest) and Luca Stacey and Miles Garbaccio (Shorecrest) also qualified for the district tournament. Scores of the final round of matches were not reported.

Wesco 3A North Tournament

Top 4 singles and doubles to district

STANWOOD — Snohomish freshman Jackson Fawcett won the North division singles championship, beating teammate Colton Moores, 6-1, 6-2. In doubles, the Monroe’s tandem of Jacob Shafer and Myles Baumchen defeated Samuel Lawless and Perren McGuire of Everett, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3). Stanwood singles players Logan Lee and Greyson Pierce also qualified for next week’s 3A District 1 tournament. Both of Snohomish’s doubles teams advanced: Enzo Porletto-Alden Graafstra and Tully VanAssche-Everett Woolley.
