On Saturday night Miranda Granger seeks her second professional mixed martial arts championship belt.

The Snohomish native puts her undefeated record on the line when she faces Heloisa Azevedo for the inaugural Cage Fury Fighting Championships women’s strawweight (115 pounds) title on Saturday night. The bout is the main event of CFFC 75 at the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, California.

Granger, a 27-year-old who fights out of Charlie’s Combat Club in Everett, is 5-0 since turning pro in 2017, and she already holds one championship belt having won the Dominate FC women’s strawweight title last September. She’s coming off a dominating victory over veteran Jamie Colleen as part of CFFC 71 last December in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Granger is ranked by Tapology.com as the 33rd-best women’s strawweight MMA fighter in the world, and as the third-best women’s MMA fighter at any weight class in the United States. Granger won all five of her previous bouts by submission, with only one making it out of the first round.

Azevedo, a 28-year-old from Brazil, has a 4-1 record and is ranked by Tapology.com as the 93rd-best women’s strawweight in the world.

The Granger-Azevedo bout, scheduled for four five-minute rounds, concludes the 11-fight card at CFFC 75. The six-bout main card is being streamed live by UFC Fight Pass and begins at 7 p.m.
