Snohomish takes early lead to beat M-P

MARYSVILLE – The Snohomish wrestling team used six victories in the first eight matches to take a 52-23 Wesco North victory over Marysville Pilchuck Thursday night at the Tomahawks gym.

The Panthers jumped out to a 33-9 start after heavyweight Jake Reinhard pinned Marysville-Pilchuck’s Mike Pfeiff one minute and 28 seconds into the second round of the eighth match. The Panthers had five pins and a decision in the span, led by Troy Walker, who starting off the night with a pin in 3:18 at 140 pounds.

Brad Perry helped finish off the Tomahawks with a pin in 55 seconds at 130 pounds.

Jason Blevins (112) had a pin, Richard Templeman (125) had a major decision and Ricky Dschaak (215) had a 22-16 decision to lead the Tomahawks
