I just updated my story about Saturday’s Northwest Tour opener at Evergreen Speedway with the following paragraph:
Friday’s practice was canceled because of unfavorable conditions — rain was reported in Monroe and snow in Snohomish — but speedway officials were optimistic Friday afternoon that the races could be run. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the first race is scheduled for 7 p.m.

I’ll still be there, with fingers crossed and dressed appropriately, but something tells me we may not get to see much racing. Here’s hoping …
