Seattle Sounders FC, fresh off winning its first ever MLS championship, will open the 2017 season on the road.
The Sounders officially announced their first three games of the 2017 season Wednesday, with Seattle beginning their title defense on March 4 when they hit the road to face the Houston Dynamo at 5:30 p.m. (PST).
Seattle’s first two games will be in the road as they travel to face the Montreal Impact, who lost to Toronto FC in the Eastern Conference finals, on March. 11 at 4 p.m. (PST).
Seattle’s home opener is March 19 against the New York Red Bulls at 4 p.m. The Sounders have to wait until Week 3 to play their first game before their home fans because of infrastructure work scheduled for CenturyLink Field.
The full schedule will be announced in January.
