Sounders FC forward Eddie Johnson was voted Major League Soccer player of the week Monday after scoring both Seattle goals in a 2-1 win over Chivas USA on Saturday.
It is Johnson’s second such award this season and fifth in his MLS career. The award is voted on by the North American Soccer Reporters.
Johnson leads the Sounders and is fourth in MLS with 13 goals this season.
Seattle returns to league play Saturday at Portland.
