I hope you all had a great Christmas. I took a few days off from reporting and blogging, and since then local prep events have gotten back on track. Finally. Hopefully the weather-related problems are behind us.

If you follow Wesco boys tennis at all, you’re definitely aware of Stanwood’s Kyle Koetje. And now people throughout the country will learn about him, thanks to Koetje’s latest achievement. He is listed in the Faces in the Crowd section in the current issue of Sports Illustrated.

Thanks to former Herald Writer Jesse Geleynse, who made me aware of Koetje’s appearance in S.I.
