I’m back in Federal Way at the King County Aquatic Center, where Jackson is off to a good start in the 4A finals of the state girls swimming and diving championships.
Backing up its No. 1 seeding, Jackson won the first event of the finals this morning: The 200-yard medley relay. The Timberwolves won in an automatic All-America time (1:48.02) and beat second-place Redmond by more than a second.
Jackson’s swimmers on the relay were Amber McDermott (backstroke), Marina Pomar-Enders (breaststroke), Alana Pazevic (butterfly) and Erin Holladay (freestyle).
