Both teams are struggling offensively after the first quarter.
Six different Storm players have scored, but Seattle is shooting just 5-for-15 from the field. Lauren Jackson missed her first two field goal attempts, finishing the quarter 1-for-3 and Sue Bird is 0-for-4 from the field.
Luckily for the Storm, Los Angeles is shooting just as poorly. The Sparks are also 5-for-15 from the field, led by Candace Parker, who finished with four points on 2-for-5 shooting.
The game is close, but I expect both of these offenses to get closer to their normal efficiency as the game continues.
