SEATTLE — Paisley Harding’s run with the Seattle Storm has come to an end.
The former star at Glacier Peak High School and BYU was waived by the Storm on Saturday as the team gets ready to set its opening roster.
Seattle signed Harding to a training camp contract on April 14. She played a total of 11 minutes in the Storm’s two preseason games and had two points, two rebounds and an assist.
Harding is coming off a standout five-year college career at Brigham Young University, where she finished sixth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,938 career points.
The 5-foot-9 guard was a four-year starter for the Cougars and a first-team All-West Coast Conference selection each of the past three seasons.
As a fifth-year senior this past season, Harding averaged a career-high 17.1 points per game while helping lead BYU to a 26-4 record and a program-best No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. She also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.
Seattle’s regular season opener in May 6 against the Minnesota Lynx at Climate Pledge Arena.
