The Everett Silvertips announced Wednesday they have acquired defenseman Dane Crowley and forward Jordan Mistelbacher from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for defenseman Eric Doyle.

The Silvertips also received a conditional third-round pick in the 2008 Western Hockey League bantam draft.

“Dane will bring valuable leadership and experience to our blueline this season,” Silvertips vice president and general manager Doug Soetaert said in a statement. “He brings a good right-handed shot from the point and will add quality depth to our defense corps.”

Crowley, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 208 pounds, was tied for fifth among the Broncos in scoring, with four goals and 15 assists in 33 games this season. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round of the 2006 NHL entry draft.
