Just a couple of quick observations from today’s practice. Freshman tight end Kavario Middleton was not in pads today, which was a bit unexpected. Earlier today, offensive coordinator Tim Lappano had said Middleton was getting healthier (he’s been dinged up since the BYU game) and should be at full speed this week. We’ll have to check with Tyrone Willingham on that tomorrow.
Other than Darin Harris, who continues to be out with a concussion, just about everyone else recovering from injuries was in pads, including Johri Fogerson (ankle) and David Freeman (ankles). Though Freeman didn’t appear to be doing much during the portion of practice we saw. D’Andre Goodwin (ribs), who practiced in a red jersey leading up to the Arizona game, was not in red and looked to be moving well.
