SEATTLE — Two-time WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson has re-signed with the Seattle Storm.
The team announced Thursday that it signed Jackson to a multiyear contract.
The first Seattle player to win two professional league MVP awards has been with the Storm for all nine of her WNBA seasons.
Jackson says she is healthy and re-energized after a winter playing at home in Australia.
She calls it “a very special connection that I share with the city of Seattle.” She says she is honored to be playing her 10th WNBA season before the same fans who welcomed her into the league in 2001.
Storm coach Brian Agler says “there’s not a better player in the WNBA than Lauren.”
