INDIANAPOLIS — The U.S. Auto Club has formed the Quarter-Midget Racing Series, a national program for drivers as young as 5 years old.
Starting next year, USAC will sanction local quarter-midget clubs and conduct district and national championship events.
Drivers who got their starts in quarter-midgets include NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Jason Leffler and brothers Bobby and Terry Labonte.
