TEMPE, Ariz. — Lauren Lacey scored 14 of her 25 points in the first half and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Arizona State past Washington 69-53 on Sunday in Pac-10 play.
Kali Bennett scored 17 points and Katelan Redmon added 12 for the Huskies, which had won three in a row and five of their last seven.
Briann January had 12 points and four assists for Arizona State (18-9, 12-4). The Sun Devils outrebounded Washington 39-21 and made 7-of-15 from beyond the arc, including two by Lacey.
Arizona State also had 20 second-chance points to the Huskies’ four.
Washington (12-16, 7-9) failed to score over a 4:52 span in the first half during which Arizona State ran off 10 straight points to open up a 24-11 lead with 8:50 left.
The Huskies ran off 11 points in a row in the second half to cut the lead to 45-36 with 15:27 remaining but would get no closer.
Arizona State is in third place in the Pac-10 going into the final weekend of the regular season, two games in front of Southern California.
Washington is two games behind fifth-place UCLA with two games to play.
