Quarterback Jake Nelson had a great junior season for the Lake Stevens High School football team.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Nelson was a dual threat for the Vikings in 2010. He completed 133 of 229 passes (58.1 percent) for 1,842 yards and 18 touchdowns, and he rushed for 474 yards (4.8 yards per carry) and six TDs. The versatile QB helped lead Lake Stevens to the Class 4A playoffs.
