Vote for The Herald’s Prep Athlete of the Month for November

The four nominees are from Arlington, Lakewood, Snohomish and Lake Stevens

Below are the candidates for The Herald’s Prep Athlete of the Month for November. They were the winners of the four athlete-of-the-week polls during the month. The balloting for the athlete of the month closes at midnight Sunday.

Jersey Heiss | Arlington | Girls Soccer (Oct. 28-Nov. 3)

Heiss, a junior forward, recorded a hat trick and assisted on the Eagles’ fourth goal Oct. 31 in a 4-1 win over Oak Harbor in a 3A Northwest District Tournament play-in game.

Kendall Bensen and Audrey Marrs | Snohomish | Girls Swimming (Nov. 4-10)

Bensen, a sophomore, and Marrs, a senior, won two events apiece and each was a member of the Panthers’ victorious 400 freestyle relay team at the 3A Northwest District Championships on Nov. 9. The pair helped Snohomish finish second behind Shorecrest in the 13-team meet.

Carson Chrisman | Lakewood | Football (Nov. 11-17)

Chrisman, a junior wide receiver, caught seven passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns in the Cougars’ 38-12 win over Sequim on Nov. 15 in the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs.

Lake Stevens | Volleyball Team (Nov. 18-24)

The Vikings placed second in the Class 4A state tournament Nov. 23 in Yakima. It was the highest finish in program history.
