The Athlete of the Week nominees for Nov. 17-23. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced with the next poll and in next Wednesday’s paper.

Addison Farman | Glacier Peak swimming and diving

The senior diver outpaced the field of 24 divers with a final score of 407.40 to win her second straight Class 4A title in the 1-meter diving competition at the state championship meet on Nov. 14. Farman won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Nov. 10-16 by claiming 44.89% of the votes.

This week’s nominees

Tessa Anastasi | Lake Stevens girls soccer

The junior goalkeeper recorded shutouts in both a semifinal on Nov. 22 and the title game on Nov. 23 as the Vikings won the Class 4A state championship. Anastasi made several key saves in the 1-0 title game against Woodinville.

Jevin Madison | Archbishop Murphy football

The senior running back carried the load in a 10-9 road victory over Lynden on Nov. 23, rushing 27 times for 188 yards to send the Wildcats to the Class 2A state semifinals.

Jake Willis | Arlington football

The senior receiver caught three passes for 74 yards and a touchdown as Arlington fell to No. 1 Camas 35-21 in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal.
