Orgill, a senior, need just 10 carries to produce 146 yards and five touchdowns in the Panthers’ 43-27 win over Edmonds-Woodway on Sept. 23. He scored on runs of 3, 38, 1, 8 and 1 yards. He won the voting for the week of Sept. 19-25 by claiming 472 (29.2%) of 1,618 votes.

Elissa Anderson | Jackson | Girls Swim & Dive
Anderson, a freshman, swam winning times in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly as the Timberwolves beat Shorecrest 111-75 in a dual-meet on Sept. 27. She finished the 50 freestyle in 25.75 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.15. Anderson also helped Jackson’s 200- and 400-freestyle relay teams to wins.
Melanie Cammarano | Cedarcrest | Girls Soccer
Cammarano, a senior, broke open a scoreless match with a goal in the 78th minute as Cedarcrest edged Shorecrest 1-0 in a battle of Wesco 3A/2A contenders on Sept. 27.
Westin Galle | Sultan | Football
Galle, a senior, threw a touchdown pass, recorded two interceptions on defense and made a 35-yard field goal during the Turks’ 16-13 victory over Granite Falls on Sept. 30.
Paige Gerrard | Snohomish | Girls Cross Country
Gerrard, a junior, took seventh place out of 226 competitors in the 3A-4A girls portion of the Twilight Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 1 at Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville. She finished the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 33.50 seconds.
Tanna Kollen | Meadowdale | Volleyball
Kollen, a senior, piled up 56 kills over three matches while helping the Mavericks to a 3-0 week. Her efforts included 21 kills in a 3-2 win over Arlington on Sept. 28 and 24 kills in a 3-2 victory over Glacier Peak on Sept. 29.
Carter Schmidt | Marysville Getchell | Football
Schmidt, a senior, ran for 121 yards and three touchdowns as the Chargers beat Mount Vernon 28-27 in overtime for their first win of the season on Sept. 30. Schmidt’s final touchdown run set up the game-winning extra point.
Luke Schmidt | Shorecrest | Boys Cross Country
Schmidt, a senior, took seventh place out 252 competitors in the 3A-4A boys portion of the Twilight Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 1 at Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville. He finished the 5,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 30.80 seconds. That times ranks fourth in the state in Class 3A this season, according to athletic.net.
Cade Strickland | Snohomish | Boys Tennis
Strickland, a junior, dropped just two games on his way to a 3-0 week at No. 1 singles for the Panthers. He won his matches 6-1, 6-1 on Sept. 26; 6-0, 6-0 on Sept. 27; and 6-0, 6-0 on Sept. 29. His efforts helped Snohomish remain unbeaten in Wesco 3A North play.
