EUGENE — Hogan Windish homered twice and the Everett AquaSox offense pounded out 15 hits en route to a 12-6 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Wednesday night.
Mike Salvatore went 2-for-5 with a three-run triple, Harry Ford (2-for-5) and Gabriel Gonzalez (1-for-5) hit solo home runs, and Cole Young went 3-for-6 to raise his average to .326 since being promoted to the AquaSox.
Jimmy Kingsbury started on the mound for Everett and allowed just one hit in three innings with five strikeouts.
Damon Dues finished 3-for-4, and Carter Howell and Grant McCray drove in two runs each for the Emeralds.
With the win, Everett (56-48, 21-16 second half) pulled three games in front of Eugene (52-52, 18-19) for second place in the Northwest League’s second-half standings. The AquaSox remained four games behind Vancouver, which also won the first half.
