Are you killing the water?

I am Colten Nakata and I am in fifth grade. I’m also learning how important water is. We have poisoned and been careless by putting oil and trash like bottle cans and plastic in our storm drains.

Why does it matter? It matters because it kills all the creatures in the oceans like salmon, coral and clown fish. It makes it so you can’t swim on a hot day. It makes it so you can’t fish or drink in the oceans, rivers or lakes. We can’t let it be contaminated because we use it too much for things like toilets, sinks and a lot more. We have to think before we act.

What will be the world in the future? Will it have contaminated water or not? Another question to ask is will there be mankind? What we need to do before we lose all our water is to put trash in trash cans not in storm drains. Will you kill the water or not?
