While I agree with fair and balanced reporting, I take issue with the second half of the peace march article (“LFP peace march marks sixth anniversary of beginning of Iraq war,” March 25). The article should’ve ended with the remark by Lee Gresko.
The Evergreen Troop Support group had nothing to do with our march. While they may indeed support the troops, they condone US militarism/imperialism, i.e., the continuing illegal and immoral occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. And, tragically, so does our new administration. We of Lake Forest Park for Peace do not. We therefore channel our passion for peace and justice into periodic community marches.
