The sophomore standout allowed only one run and was 2-for-4 with a home run to help lead the Hawks to a 5-1 victory over district rival Lynnwood in a Wesco 3A softball game April 10 at Mountlake Terrace High School. Kristjanson then was 3-for-4 with two home runs as Mountlake Terrace downed Shorewood 11-0 in a game shortened to six innings April 12 at Meridian Park in Shoreline. In an March 26 contest against Oak Harbor, Kristjanson was 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBI and three runs scored in Mountlake Terrace’s 10-7 victory. The Hawks (4-3 in the league, 6-4 overall) are in fifth place in the league.

Mountlake Terrace High School

The senior pitcher allowed only two hits and struck out 11 in six innings of work to help the Hawks to a 10-1 victory over Glacier Peak in a Wesco 3A baseball game April 12 at Glacier Peak High School. In his previous outing, Hatch allowed two hits and struck out 12 in a five-inning 12-0 victory over Oak Harbor April 5 at Oak Harbor High School. “Alex Hatch has been phenomenal the last two starts,” said Hawks coach Andrew Watters. “He’s put together back-to-back really two of the best performances in his high school career.” Hatch (3-2) has an ERA of 2.66 and is hitting 333. with an on-base percentage of .532.
