Finesse versus force will be put to the test at 5 p.m. Friday, July 15, when the annual cannonball/bellyflop contest crashes Edmonds’ Yost Park pool.
Participants may sign up just prior to the event or pre-register by calling Edmonds Parks and Recreation at 425-771-1346.
The $3 entry fee benefits the Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund. Categories for adults, teens ages 15-18 and children ages 6-14 will be offered. Prizes will be awarded to performances judged the best in each category.
After the contest, participants and their families are invited to stay and swim for free until 8 p.m.
Yost Park is located at 96th Avenue and Bowdoin Way.
