Teams set for Kickoff Classic

Ten prep football teams have accepted invitations to participate in the second annual Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Seahawks Stadium on Sept. 4.

The 2004 event will showcase some of Washington’s best high school football teams and the nation’s top-ranked team over the past four years, De La Salle of Concord, Calif., a team that has won 151 consecutive games. 

De La Salle will be playing the three-time defending 3A Washington state champion Bellevue during the final game of the day. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

The other matchups are:

• 3A Kennedy vs. 4A Tahoma (10 a.m.);

• 3A Camas vs. 4A Mead (12:30 p.m.);

• 4A Walla Walla vs. 4A Olympia (3 p.m.);

• 4A Bothell vs. 4A Ballard (5:30 p.m.)

EdCC coach hosts clinic
