Banquet needs event sponsors
The Snohomish County Football Hall of Fame Awards Banquet committee is looking for more sponsors for this year’s event. Tom Freal, a committee member, said the committee is facing “more than the usual amount of turnover” of sponsors. Interested sponsors can contact Freal at Edmonds Community College by calling 425-640-1339, ext. 7901, or by writing to the Snohomish County Football Hall of Fame (P.O. Box 557, Everett, WA, 98206).
Last year, $3,000 in scholarships was awarded. The annual event is scheduled to take place Dec. 3 at Everett Golf &Country Club.
E-W, Hawks play at 8 p.m.
One of the most heated football rivalries takes center stage at Edmonds Stadium tonight (Friday, Oct. 17). Edmonds-Woodway hosts Mountlake Terrace at 8 p.m. After dropping their first four games, the Warriors have won two straight, while the Hawks are in the midst of a four-game slide.
