The South County YMCA is seeking volunteers to work with preschool-age through teenage children in youth sports and after school programs. Grifol back as ‘Sox manager
The Everett AquaSox announced the return of Pedro Grifol as manager of the ballclub. Coach Darrin Garner and trainer Spyder Webb will also join the Everett crew again. Pitching coach Marcos Garcia comes back to Everett after spending a year with the Seattle Mariners’ rookie team in Peoria, Ariz.
A scout for the Seattle Mariners during the offseason, Grifol led the AquaSox to a 32-44 record in his managerial debut in 2003.
Correction
Jackson girls basketball player Kelsey Whitcomb is a senior. Her year was incorrect in a Dec. 12 story due to an inaccurate Jackson High School roster.
