Fred Meyer program to help Snohomish’s historic Carnegie Library

Thanks to the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program, the public can contribute to the rehabilitation of the historic 1910 Snohomish Carnegie Library building just by shopping. Fred Meyer Rewards card members should call 1-866-518-2686 while at their computer. By inputting information, including the number 93895, Fred Meyer will donate to the non-profit based on the Rewards Club member’s shopping.

PSE gives ‘Energy Efficiency’ awards to two local contractors

Clean Crawls of Marysville and Washington Energy Services and American Crawlspace Cleanouts in Lynnwood were among the 12 local contractors recognized with the Puget Sound Energy 2013 Energy Efficiency Leader awards. Puget Sound Energy recognized the contractors for helping customers take advantage of incentives from PSE to make their homes and multifamily properties more energy efficient.

Bothell Furniture donates to Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation

It was announced that Bothell Furniture donated $4,000 to the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation. The donation came at the conclusion of Parkinson’s Awareness Month in April. The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation aims to establish optimal quality of life for the Northwest Parkinson’s community through awareness, education, advocacy and care.

Monroe businesses, organizations beautify city

The City of Monroe and the Parks &Recreation Department extended thanks to the businesses and organizations who donated money and labor toward planting the city’s signature islands, downtown planter pots and hanging flower baskets along Main Street and Lewis Street in the heart of Monroe. Total value for these donations and volunteer labor exceeded $4,000.
