Area man dies when track hoe
lands on him
Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatal accident involving a track hoe rolling off a flat-bed truck and onto a Mill Creek-area man.
The accident happened about 3:40 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the man’s home in the 21400 block of 45th Avenue Southeast. The 63-year-old man was unloading the track hoe from a flat-bed trailer on his property when the track hoe rolled off the truck and landed on him, killing him.
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
Friends of the Library invites public to meeting
The public is invited to the next meeting of Friends of the Library in Mill Creek.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 11 at the Mill Creek Library, 15429 Bothell Everett Highway.
Friends of the Library is responsible for planning several library events, including book discussion groups and story telling for children.

DARE chocolate shield fund raiser
Mill Creek police are selling police department chocolate shields for $2 to benefit the DARE program.
The shields were made from a mold that was designed with the Mill Creek water wheel and the words “Mill Creek Police.” The shields can be purchased at the police department’s service counter inside City Hall, 15728 Main St.
