Call for artists: The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council is looking for artists to show in two local galleries: The Gallery at Towne Centre in Lake Forest Park and Shoreline City Hall Gallery. Deadline: Oct. 31. Artists are invited to submit a letter of interest, resume, artist’s statement, 10-15 images on digital media that reflect a cohesive body of work, an image list with title, medium, size and price and a SASE for return of materials. Call for artists: The Edmonds Mural Society is looking for painters and muralists to submit mural concepts for next summer. The Mural Society is planning to raise five new murals in the summer of 2011. The theme of next season’s murals, chosen by the Members of the Mural Society, is the natural beauty one of Hidden Treasures. Deadline: Dec. 1. Artists whose works are selected will receive a royalty of $800 after completion of mural, a royalty of half auction price of a 28” x 36” painted version of mural, continuing royalties from sales of mural prints and continuing marketing of mural and muralist on EdmondsMuralSociety.org. Call for artists: The Lynnwood Arts Commission invites artists to exhibit artwork at the Lynnwood Senior Center. The newly remodeled Lynnwood Senior Center is frequented by over 30,000 people a year and offers artists a chance to show their work in this very active public space. Exhibits are 3-4 months in length. Artists may advertise pieces hanging in the gallery as for sale. No commission is charged for any sales made. The gallery is visited by an estimated 1,500 people monthly. Applications are considered as they are received. There is no deadline to apply. Call for artists: The Lynnwood Arts Commission is accepting applications from local and regional visual artists wishing to exhibit their work at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Deadline to apply: Oct. 31. Selected artists will exhibit their work for 6 months starting January 2010. The Lynnwood Convention Center publicizes the exhibits through press releases and other promotional means and hosts a reception for the artists. No commission is charged for sales resulting from the exhibit. Call for artists: The City of Mill Creek’s Arts and Beautification Board is seeking artists to display their works inside City Hall and the Mill Creek library. The rotating art program seeks to present groups of visual works by resident artists of all cultures, techniques, and styles. There is no deadline to apply. Available to Mill Creek residents only. Works for the library must be large, 2-dimensial art. Proposals must include information on the artist and recent images of proposed works, along with any brochures or other printed material that may be appropriate. Call for artists: Swedish Edmonds is building a new campus in the South Everett/Mill Creek area, located just off I-5 on 128th Street. Swedish staff would like to feature digital images of artwork or photos by children or young adults who live in the Mill Creek/Everett area (open to children and young adults ages 5 to 18). The digital images selected will be turned into long-lasting pieces of art to showcase in the new Swedish facility. Digital artwork files must be submitted for consideration by Nov. 1. Call to Performing Artists: The Edmonds Arts Commission is looking for local bands to perform at the 2011 Concerts in the Park. Concerts are held on Sunday afternoons in July and August from 3-4 p.m. in City Park, Third Avenue North and Pine Street. This is an outdoor venue with a covered pavilion for the performers.
