Candidate forum set for Sept. 14

Voters are invited to meet primary election candidates at a forum 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14.

The forum will take place 7 p.m. at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St.

The 25th annual primary election Candidates Forum is sponsored by The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, Edmonds branch of the American Association of University Women and the Outreach Team of the Edmonds United Methodist Church.

Candidates invited to the forum include those running for U.S. Congress and state Legislature, 21st and 32nd Districts; State Supreme Court and the PUD. The audience also will hear pros and cons on ballot initiatives and referenda.

The Charter Review Commission’s recommendations that will appear on the November ballot will be presented.

To commemorate 25 years of the public service of providing candidates forums to the public, a cake-cutting and other festivities will take place at 6:30 p.m.
