Melody Hill focus of next meeting
The city of Mountlake Terrace has scheduled the next open house for residents to review ideas and make suggestions about how the Melody Hill neighborhood will grow in the next 20 years.
The workshop is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Mountlake Terrace Library.
The Melody Hill Neighborhood, which is roughly west of Interstate 5 and north of 224th, comprises about one-fifth of the city. Residents are being asked to consider traffic management, casinos, parking, economic vitality, pedestrian safety, recreation and open space throughout the area.
Soon, the consultant will work with staff to revise the ideas and prepare a draft plan for at least two additional public hearings. The plan must be considered and approved by the Planning Commission before it proceeds to the City Council. The draft plan may be revised, rejected or adopted by the Council in early 2006.
Residents can find more information about this project by checking the city’s Web site (www.ci.mountlake-terrace.wa.us) under “Breaking news” or join the Melody Hill mailing list to receive updates from the city of Mountlake Terrace. To add your name to the mailing list, send an e-mail to drubatino@ci.mlt.wa.us or call 425-744-6266.
