Girl Scout cookie drive begins
Girl Scouts will once again be at local store fronts and other locations offering cookies for sale, beginning 4 p.m. today, Friday, March 4.
The pre-sale to friends and family members was Jan. 14-30. The sale runs through March 20.
With thousands of Girl Scouts in local service areas, the sale is the program’s only major fundraiser and a significant part of the groups’ operating budgets.
For the first time in 12 years, the price has increased, in order to fund a special need for Girl Scouts’ Totem Council. These extra funds will go to the ongoing Happy Camper Capital Campaign to help pay for projects that the local scouts will enjoy this summer at camps.

All services can be paid for on a cash-only basis, and free surgery is available for those on public assistance.
