Free smoke detectors

The Shoreline Fire Department offers free 10-year lithium battery smoke detectors to families in Shoreline with children under the age of eight.

Young children are especially at risk for injury or death in a housefire. Having a working smoke detector and practicing home fire escape plans are essential in making sure families know what to do in case of fire.

To obtain a smoke detector, call Shoreline Fire’s Community Education Division at 206-533-6564. Leave your name, address and telephone number and a smoke detector will be delivered to your home.
