Heritage Park needing old items

The city of Lynnwood is seeking donations of vintage items for display in the new Heritage Park, which will open soon. Suggested items include vintage tools, grocery items, pictures, newspapers, chairs and large tables. Donations are tax-deductible. Discuss PBS TV series tonight

The public is invited to a discussion group to talk about the new PBS miniseries Chronicles Immigrants Journey in the 21st Century from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, April 2 at The Family Support Center of South Snohomish County located at 6330 195th St SW, Lynnwood. The three part, seven hour PBS miniseries was broadcasted March 29, 30 and 31 on PBS. The meeting will be facilitated by Dr. Alexandra Hepburn, member of Lynnwood Diversity Task Force and refreshments will be served.

Music, food for body and soul

“A Touch of Class” for Mothers and Others will be performed by the Trolley Days Band at 7 p.m. Friday, May 7 at Edmonds Church of God, 8224 220th SW in Edmonds. The event is open to the public and is free. Bring a non-perishable food for a food drive to benefit local food banks. The Trolley Days Band, now in its eighth season is accepting new members. Rehearsals are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Church of God. There are no auditions or dues. It is an all-volunteer non-profit corporation dedicated to providing the community with live music throughout the year and giving musicians an arena to share their talents.

summer camp

The Alderwood Boys &Girls Club is currently taking signups for 10 weeks of summer daycamp. The camps are open for kids going into kindergarten through eighth grade. The cost is $130 per week for K-6 and $140 per week for seventh/eighth grade. Past field trips have included Woodland Park Zoo, Birch Bay Water Slides, bowling, roller skating, swimming, parks, beaches and the Everett Aqua Sox. For more info. call 425-774-3022.
