Ballot drop boxes are now open at the Edmonds and Lynnwood libraries for the February special election.

The only item on local ballots is an Edmonds School District replacement technology and capital improvements levy.

The 24-hour drop boxes will be open until 8 p.m. Election Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.

Snohomish County elections officials mailed ballots to registered voters in the School District on Thursday.

Voters can leave their ballots at drop boxes in Edmonds and Lynnwood and four other sites around the county.

They also can vote in person on accessible voting machines at the Lynnwood Library on Monday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

New Washington voters can register to vote in the election through Feb. 6*, but they must register at the county elections office in Everett.
