Would the Enterprise please consider running cartoons besides Rik Dalvit’s more frequently? A cartoon can be a richly nuanced form of commentary, but Dalvit either doesn’t deem us worthy, or simply isn’t up to the task. His monotonous stridulating week after week is heavy-handed and tiresome. He is, of course, entitled to speak his mind, as are the rest of us. But because The Enterprise opinion page is a public forum, and because the political cartoon enjoys a permanent and prominent place on the page, perhaps The Enterprise would consider it a reasonable service to its readers to feature cartoon opinions as diverse and interesting as those in the letters it publishes.
